The Association

According to the activity carried out, member companies are grouped in Trade Sections aimed at guiding the activity of the Association, by means of projects and proposals, in order to give an answer to sector themes on the territory.
The following are the trade sections currently grouping member companies of the Association:

  • Food
  • Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals
  • Electronics
  • Environmental services
  • Fashion system
  • Financial, Insurance and Real Estate
  • Communication, Audiovisual, Sport and Leisure Time

  •  Design and Construction
  •  Human Resource and Education
  •  Safety
  •  Transportation, Infrastructures and Logistics
  •  Health-care
  •  Large scale distribution
  •  Information Technology

One of the main features of these firms is the flexibility of their production methods and structures, easily adjustable to the requirements of a global, competitive market.

The activity of the Association is based on a twofold mission: representation and service provision to member enterprises. The main activity lines of the Association are as follows:

  • to promote the adoption of industrial and financial policies aiming at encouraging competitiveness in Rome production system;
  • to enter into covenants and corporate agreements;
  • to develop information, advisory and assistance services for member enterprises;
  • to carry out a representation activity in external Institutions, Authorities and Organisations;
  • to carry out research activities, studies, forum, meetings and events of interest for its members.

The underpinnings of this initiative are the promotion, development, communication and training of the firms followed by a gradual adaptation to the external macro environment: the banking, financial, insurance and broad regulatory fiscal systems.
 Within the goal of promoting and improving the visibility of the roman territorial production system abroad, and to intensify and increase the existing range of commercial relationships with the companies of others countries, the Association, for more than 4 or 5 years already, has been implementing an internationalization project which tries to improve the visibility of its companies abroad.

Internationalization today is of vital necessity, and no longer a simple voluntary choice. Roman firms are ready and capable of meeting the needs of an increasingly international market.
The challenges of the internationalization project that the Rome Industrialist and Enterprises Association is attempting to spearhead are not limited to export but to the creation of joint-ventures, economic exchanges, trading, training, direct investments abroad, search for new market opportunities and any kind of support to sustain the roman territorial production system in its operations abroad.
